How using Cucumber in Selenium can help you show what you test. Isn’t it bothering you that you are one of the few in your company who is able to automate tests? Wouldn’t it be much better if business managers, users and functional testers could read and understand your automated test-scripts or even better: be able to help you creating and executing automated tests? This masterclass will help you describe your automated tests in normal sentences so you can let your colleagues write the test and you can handle the automation. Richard and Robbin will go over the basics of using Cucumber with Selenium. Together we will set up your tests and navigate through a test website. You will write tests in structured steps which will help you presenting and communicating your tests on a functional level.
In addition, you will be able to avoid redundancy in code and test steps, which reduces the time for maintenance. After this course you will have a basic understanding of how you can harness the power of Cucumber to structure your test and have both development and business help you with creating and improving your automated tests. Because you can (and should) do the entire masterclass on your own device, you will be able to take it home with you and run it for yourself or demo it to colleagues. You will be able to modify it for your own application with ease and start implementing it in your test process immediately!

This is an introduction masterclass for testers who want to improve their automated tests and make them readable for the business. Although little knowledge about test automation is required to be able to start and complete this masterclass, some experience in using Selenium and Java is recommended. What you will need is a healthy curiosity to improve the speed and quality of your testing process and the drive to streamline your development process flow.

Richard and Robbin are both working as Testers at Qquest and will host their masterclass on Tuesday September 22, as one of the hands-on masterclasses that day. Interested to see more of the program? Visit the program page!
