Ever spent more time maintaining automated tests than doing actual test work? Or seen automated tests fail constantly? Like many fellow testers, I have experienced the pain of spending more time analyzing the test failure than I would have spent testing the functionality. This talk is inspired by automation efforts that started with much enthusiasm but failed hopelessly due to low maintainability. Luckily, I also found inspiration in successful efforts with maintainability at its core. In this talk, I will share my experiences and tips on how to create maintainable automated tests.
Mazin Inaad, Test Automation Engineer, Capgemini will host the parallel session “The 8 ‘Commendments’ for Maintainable Test Automation” on Thursday May 25. Interested to see more of the program? Visit the program page!
